Sound medicine for the meridians
Acutonics® applies precision-calibrated tuning forks to acupuncture points and meridians to create vibrational medicine, frequency healing and harmonic resonance.
Acutonics® is an integrative system using precision-calibrated planetary tuning forks, musical intervals and harmonic relationships applied on and around the body. Its framework integrates sound and vibration with principles of East Asian medicine, including acupuncture points, meridians and the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, as well as planetary frequencies, archetypal correspondences and advanced applications of sound vibration.
Amanda brought the first-ever Acutonics® Level I training to South Africa in February 2026 and now offers both Level I and Level II to small groups. Each is a three-day, 24-hour class and both are required for Associate Acutonics® Practitioner Certification.

Higher Harmonics and the Inner Nature of Tone
This class deepens participants' knowledge of musical intervals and sound layering directly on and above acupuncture point combinations. Prerequisite: Acutonics® Level I.

About the class
The importance of the water element and its correspondence to the kidney, the concept of the heavenly spheres, the pole star, the natural cycles of the universe, the balance between yin and yang, and the spiritual and ancient wisdom traditions contained within Taoist philosophy and Tibetan Buddhist traditions are discussed. Energy assessment and the relationship of the individual to the cycles of nature and the cosmos are explored while deepening students' knowledge of the Five Elements, Eight Principles, Three Treasures, Eight Extraordinary Meridians, key acupoints, and Ashi/trigger points or areas of pain. The importance of listening and understanding clients' narratives and the embedded archetypes are examined in the context of developing more sophisticated treatment strategies.
Through instructor demonstration and clinical practicum, students learn to palpate, balance, expand and transform disharmonies in the meridian and organ systems. Use of the Earth Moon tools is reviewed, and students are introduced to high and low frequency tuning forks. Sound layering is further explored through the integration of tuning forks and indigenous sound healing tools from ancient Tibet, and cross-cultural traditions incorporating sound vibration for healing are discussed. The applications of Tibetan bowls, on and above acupuncture points and in the field, are explored.

Already have your Level I forks? The Earth Moon Professional Set and Solar 7th Set from Level I are used again in Level II. The sets above are the additional high and low frequency forks introduced in this class.

Upcoming Level II dates
Train by the ocean, then go on safari
Trainings are hosted in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) on the warm coast of Nelson Mandela Bay. Fly into Cape Town or Johannesburg, then take a short domestic flight to Gqeberha (PLZ). Amanda personally collects international students at the airport and brings them to their guest house, a short walk from the training venue. Flights, accommodation and meals are not included in the training fee.
If you are travelling internationally to Port Elizabeth for the training, Amanda can share a great African safari itinerary and all the details you need to add an unforgettable safari adventure before or after your Acutonics® training: a malaria-free luxury safari at Bukela Game Lodge or Shamwari Private Game Reserve, or a drive along the Garden Route to Cape Town.
