Amanda Lamprecht

From violin to vibration

Amanda Lamprecht, E-RYT500, YACEP, C-IAYT, is a Licensed Acutonics^® Teacher and Practitioner, sound educator, musician, Tibetan and crystal sound bowl and gong trainer, and Certified Yoga Therapist. She is the Founder and Director of the International School of Yoga Studies™ RYS200, RYS300 and RYS500 and an International Association of Yoga Therapists Approved Professional Development (APD) Provider.

Amanda brings together a lifelong relationship with music and an extensive exploration of sound, vibration and the subtle dimensions of listening. Amanda began classical violin training at the age of six and later expanded into voice, songwriting and performance. Under the artist name AMANDALA, she has performed as a singer and multi-instrumentalist, played in bands, written and recorded original music, and released professionally recorded original work.

Her sound work encompasses Tibetan and crystal sound bowls, gongs, high-frequency tuning forks, ocean drum, voice, chanting, vocal toning and other sound tools. Her trainings move beyond simply learning how to play an instrument, inviting students to develop a deeper understanding of tone, resonance, vibration, harmonics and the art of listening.

Amanda's trainings explore the foundations of music theory, harmonics and overtones, musical intervals, rhythm, frequency, resonance, entrainment, cymatics, the relationship between sound and matter, and the therapeutic applications of sound. These principles are presented in an accessible and experiential way, and no musical background is required.

An important dimension of Amanda's work is Nāda Yoga, the yoga of sound and vibration. Her teaching explores the traditional four levels of sound, together with mantra, chanting, vocal toning and bīja mantras. She integrates these practices with the study of the chakras, subtle and astral anatomy, and the human voice as an instrument of resonance and vibration.

Amanda's work with Acutonics^® brings another dimension to her exploration of sound. Acutonics^® is an integrative system using precision-calibrated planetary tuning forks, musical intervals and harmonic relationships applied on and around the body. Its framework integrates sound and vibration with principles of East Asian medicine, including acupuncture points, meridians and the Eight Extraordinary Vessels, as well as planetary frequencies, archetypal correspondences and advanced applications of sound vibration.

From the complex overtones of a Tibetan sound bowl and the crystalline resonance of crystal bowls to the expansive vibration of gongs, the precision of tuning forks and the intimacy of the human voice, Amanda's work is rooted in deep listening and in exploring the relationships between tone, interval, harmony, frequency, resonance, rhythm, vibration and silence.
